Sit comfortably with a tall spine and relaxed shoulders. Begin by taking a few deep, calming breaths in and out through the nose.
Now, start a short, sharp, rhythmic inhale and exhale through the nose — the inhale and exhale are equal in length, and the belly pumps slightly with each breath. This is not a deep breath; it’s a quick, steady, light breath like a flickering flame.
Begin slowly and increase speed as you feel comfortable, aiming for about one breath per second. Continue for 30 seconds to 1 minute, focusing on the energizing sensation building in your body.
When complete, take a deep, cleansing inhale, hold for a few moments, then exhale fully and rest. Notice the sensations, the tingling, the awakened energy moving through you.
